1. Client Responsibilities
Client certifies that:
They are the legal owner or authorized caretaker of the pet(s) listed in this agreement.
All information provided regarding the pet(s) is accurate and up to date, including health status, temperament, behavior, and vaccination records.
Pet(s) are current on all legally required vaccinations, including rabies.
Any history of aggression, biting, or behavioral issues has been disclosed in writing to WLVCC.
2. Liability Release
Client understands and agrees that:
WLVCC will take all reasonable precautions for the safety and well-being of Client’s pet(s) and property, but cannot be held liable for loss, injury, illness, escape, or death of any pet in its care, unless due to gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
WLVCC shall not be liable for any injury, illness, or damage caused by Client’s pet(s) to another animal, person, or property while in WLVCC’s care or during transport.
Client is financially responsible for any harm or damage caused by their pet(s), including veterinary or medical costs arising from incidents involving their pet(s).
3. Medical Care & Emergency Protocol
In the event of an emergency, WLVCC will make reasonable efforts to contact the Client or the provided emergency contact.
If neither can be reached and urgent medical attention is required, WLVCC is authorized to transport the pet(s) to a veterinary facility of its choosing and make decisions on behalf of the Client regarding treatment, to the extent permitted by law.
Client agrees to reimburse WLVCC for any veterinary or emergency care expenses incurred during the provision of services.
4. Property Access and Security
Client grants WLVCC permission to enter their home or property as necessary to perform agreed-upon services. WLVCC will take reasonable precautions to secure the property but shall not be held liable for theft, loss, or damage unless caused by WLVCC’s negligence.
5. Photo/Media Release
Client grants permission for WLVCC to photograph and/or video record their pet(s) for promotional or social media purposes, without compensation. Client may opt out by notifying WLVCC in writing.
6. Cancellation and Payment Terms
Payment is due as specified in your individual invoice. Cancellations must be made according to WLVCC’s published cancellation policy. Last-minute or same-day cancellations may result in full or partial charges.
7. Assumption of Risk
Client acknowledges that there are inherent risks when working with animals, including but not limited to bites, scratches, property damage, and disease transmission. Client assumes full responsibility for these risks.
8. Indemnification
Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless WLVCC from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to services provided, including attorney’s fees, except in cases of WLVCC’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Ventura County, California.
By signing below, the Client certifies that they have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this agreement.
